The journey so far
I fell in love with the stage when I was 12 years old.
The lights, the storytelling, the rush — it lit something in me that never went away. Acting was my first passion, the place where I felt most like myself.
But as I got older, life had other plans. After facing discouragement and not booking work, I stepped away. I focused on stability, went back to school, and earned my Master of Science in Criminology. I built a career in investigative work — first with Child Protective Services, and later as a Provider Investigator. It was hard, important work that shaped how I see people, trauma, resilience, and systems.
Along the way, though, I put my passion on the back burner.
Now, in my 30s, everything feels different. There’s a shift happening. I feel more grounded, more confident, and more aligned with who I am becoming. I’m no longer waiting for the “perfect time” — I’m creating it.
Today, I’m honoring every part of myself: the creative, the storyteller, and the woman learning to grow through her own experiences. Through April In Action, I blend my lived experience, investigative background, and passion for storytelling into meaningful reflections, personal growth conversations, and creative work that speaks to where I am in my journey.
This season is about choosing myself, saying yes to aligned opportunities, and building a life that feels like mine — on purpose.
Thanks for being here.
I’m just getting started.
